For Locals
- Create an account. Save a Task with its scope, timing, location area and budget.
- When booking opens, review options. See the full price and eligible Student Workers before choosing.
- Approve the completed Task. Keep key details on the platform and leave a review.
For Student Workers
- Apply and build your profile. Share your status, skills and availability for staff review.
- When invitations open, choose Tasks. Check the scope, requirements, fees and exact expected payout first.
- Complete approved work. Local approval and account status determine when eligible payout is released.

How the booking fee works
The fee is based on total labor: $10 below $75; $15 from $75–$100; $20 from $100.01–$199.99; and 10% at $200 or more. Processing is included. Applicable tax, if any, is shown separately. You see the full price before funding. Read the Local pricing FAQ →

Safety controls are being completed before paid Tasks open. Verification and screening reduce uncertainty; they cannot guarantee anyone’s conduct.

Task details include timing, physical demands, tools and relevant hazards. Locals see the total; Workers see expected net payout.

Higher-risk categories may be limited until their requirements are ready. Optional screening may be requested for eligible Tasks.
Keep a record
Communication and material Task changes should stay on the platform. The reporting and blocking workflow is required before live bookings.

Can I book a Task now?
No. Auburn accounts, private Task planning and Student Worker applications are open. Posting, invitations, paid booking and payouts are still closed. We have not announced an opening date.
What does signing up early get me?
Locals can set up an account and save Task details. Student Workers can apply, build a profile and submit verification for review. You can receive launch updates, but an account does not reserve a Worker or guarantee work.
How much will a Local pay?
You choose a fixed or hourly labor price per Worker. The Local booking fee is $10 for labor under $75, $15 from $75–$100, $20 from $100.01–$199.99, or 10% at $200 or more. The full total and any applicable tax appear before funding.
How do you help people stay safe?
Identity verification is required for both sides before booking actions. Task scope, timing, tools and hazards must be shared in advance. Some categories need additional controls or may remain unavailable. Read our safety approach for the current plan and limitations.
